Eva grew up in St. Louis, MO, and attended both Westminster Christian Academy and Parkway South High, so she can say with confidence that she can relate to both public and private school kids in the area! She attended Wheaton College outside of Chicago, IL where she received her BA. She spent many years working with clients as a personal clothier and learned how to provide great customer service and build long-term trusted relationships. In 2020 she started looking around and thinking about what she could do that could have a greater life impact on the entire family. In conversations with friends and even clients, she kept hearing about how expensive college is and the issue of college debt. Lots of people had lots of questions around the subject of college, including, how are we going to pay for college? Is it even possible? One man she knew even had college debt when he was sending his own kids off to college! She started researching it and talked to professionals in the field. She found that there is a better way. After months of research, Eva opened up Gold Star College Planning along with a long-time clothing client and friend. She has a team of dedicated professionals that includes career counselors, student positioning specialists, and other experts who help students and parents through the “project plan” called college. Eva is mentored by a couple long time college planners, one of whom has written a leading book in the subject of college planning.
Eva holds multiple college planning and financial aid workshops each month and meets with families throughout the St. Louis area. Her passion is teaching families with college-bound, students how to be better consumers of higher education; such as how to avoid mistakes that can be costly, and how to get free money for college regardless of their financial situation or student’s grades. Eva’s professional mission is to guide families through the college planning process by getting college bound students into their ‘best fit’ schools, maximizing the amount of financial aid they are eligible for and showing the parents how to fund the cost without negatively impacting their savings and retirement. Eva is married to Steven
